Rated 3 out of 5 by from Moisturizing but burns? I got this product 2 Christmases ago and I've only used it twice. It works great, I love the smell and the way it feels on my skin. However, if I got it near my eyes it burns!!! Would have loved if this didn't burn my sensitive eyes because that's where my makeup is the heaviest. I will continue to use it until it is gone, however, I would definitely not recommend getting it near your eyes if they are sensitive.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A Non-Facial... Facial Cream? This product has menthol! My girlfriend and I tried this out and our faces were on fire. Maybe we have sensitive skin, however, I have never come across a typical product with menthol in it for the face. For those of you who love the feeling of fire ants ravaging your forehead, cheeks, and lips, this is for you. For us normal people, maybe pass.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the money It's really good, my skin type is both oily and dry, so combination, and usually it's hard to find products that don't irritate my skin, but I have used this for about 2 years now without any problems! Oh and by the way, I bought this at a store, not online soooo yeah

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I had high expectations I have acne and I just started working at a fast food place but I ran out of my burts bees acne cleanser that I usually used. One of my family members got this a little while back so decided to try it because it said it was chamomile and I love chamomile and thought it would be a gentle cleanser. I was so wrong. As soon as I put it on my face it started to tingle and then my face was burning and I was super confused. Upon looking at the ingredients I saw that it contains menthol which I am extremely sensitive to. I used this thinking it would be light and refreshing because of the labeling but it hurt so much. I love burts bees products but I keep on being disappointed with the lack of empathy towards people who can’t handle or are allergic to mint and menthol. This is not the first time I have gotten a product from them just to find I can’t use it because they put menthol/mint into a wide range of products such as the lip tints(I haven’t found one without menthol/mint). It really saddens me cause I love the brand so much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the "ahhhh" feeling! I love your products and the environmental awareness that you have. When I use this in the shower (the last thing I do is wash my face)the feel and then the smell of the menthol are so relaxing!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Has caused breakouts I've been a big fan of Burt's Bee's for many years, and love their commitment to make natural products! I bought this face wash to keep my skin hydrated while cleansing of all the sweat and dirt that I would accumulate skating outside (my normal workout), and I believe this face wash has caused me to break out. I have never had breakout prone skin, but within a week of using this product, I saw many white and blackheads forming around my nose and chin, as well as painful red spots that would either come to a head or wouldn't. Inflammation and increased sensitivity for me. It's a first with a face wash. Bummed out. I'm only adding a review because I'm seeing that others have had the same experience, and I wonder if maybe there isn't an ingredient that is a common allergen or something? Sorry, Burt's Bee's, love you!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from For the ingredients fiends... Be disappointed. I've been using this product for nearly a year now. My skin loves it, but since doing my due diligence with researching the products I use, I'm rethinking my cleansing routine. Burt's Bees, I love ya, but why can't you formulate this without the alcohol, witch hazel, and the fragrance? Alcohol (even though it's one of the last ingredients listed) should never be put on the skin, that goes without saying. I do appreciate the transparency your company has when it comes to natural fragrances, but simply listing "fragrance" in your ingredients is worrying, as consumers really have no idea what that mixture is made up of or if it was properly sourced. As for witch hazel, prolonged use can damage and dry out the skin from the tannins (which are distilled via alcohol, yikes) and the volatile oil it contains. I really love simplistic skin care, and burt's bees almost nails it. This cleanser has never left my skin dry, on the contrary it is lightly moisturizing and smoothing. The smell is amazing and the tingles from the menthol are refreshing. Unfortunately I have to discontinue my use though, as I know the aforementioned ingredients are harmful to aging skin in the long term.
