Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not my fav! This Hibuscus balm was bought at 'Shoppers Drug Mart' in Otttawa, ON. Price was $8.29 + taxes. I did not realize these balms were over $7.00. Did not expect: Vegetable oil; beeswax, candelilla cera & euphorbia cerifera wax cananga odorata flower wax, ammonium glycyrrhizinate, tocopherol, glycine soja & canola oil. May contain / alumina, CI 77891 & titanium dioxide. I was expecting it to be more VEGAN than the usual ones.

The hibiscus shade is a very light pink with more of a matte finish. I did not get any shine from this balm, which was a bit disappointing for me personally. It has ok lasting power, but your lips do start to feel dry. The annoying part about these is that you need a mirror to apply. If you’re not careful, you’ll have it all around your lips because you’re used to applying colorless lip balms.

I think if I had tried a color other than rose, I would’ve liked it better. If you are going more for subtlety, then this may be better suited for you. In the end, I ended up putting a sheer lip gloss over it and liked it much better. It didn’t feel as if it was enough on its own, at least for my needs. Not bad, but I think I’d like a gloss version of it better.

It's the perfect little lip balm to use daily with a cute tint to make you feel like you dressed up but didn't. It's hydrating and yet provided a subtle amount of color without drying my lips out.

Slight color but visible. The price seems a little more expensive than normal lip balms but if you like Burt’s Bees you will most likely enjoy the product.
