The smell is kind of strong when you use it, but after the hair dries the scent dies down considerably. I have very fine hair, and I have a hard time getting it to have volume. This conditioner really did add volume to my hair. I was shocked how much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to get out of your hair. I love the scent and the feel of this, but it's really hard to wash out if you're taking a bath, which I sometimes do when it's been a long day. In the shower it's much better, which is why I rated it excellent, five stars.

Since my hair is so fine, it is easily weighed down by heavy conditioners but without a good conditioner it will look like straw. I have found this conditioner to be PERFECT for my hair type. It does not weigh my hair down at all. I was skeptical at first because whenever I try a new product it seems to be great for the first few days but winds up building up and weighing my hair down after a week or two. I have been using the Burt's Bees pomegranate volumizing shampoo and conditioner now for over 2 months and I have not had any issues with build-up. I love this stuff. It smells great, rinses well and leaves my hair looking shiny and healthy looking. So healthy looking that people have actually commented on how shiny my hair looks now.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as expected. . . I already had the shampoo and the previous version of the conditioner that was under my sink for quite awhile. I decided to pick up the new version of the conditioner after reading mixed reviews. I have really fine hair that I color myself. The older version actually worked better and gave me an impressive amount of volume. Not so much the newer one. Actually leaves hair pretty flat and was really snarled after rinsing out the conditioner. Oh well. . .I will continue to experiment with it.
