From time to time, we may make changes to this Consumer Privacy Statement. The Consumer Privacy Statement is current as of the “last revised” date which appears at the top of this page. We will treat Personal Information in a manner consistent with the Consumer Privacy Statement under which it was collected and our Privacy Policy, unless we have your consent to treat it differently. This Consumer Privacy Statement applies to any information we, or our agents, collect or receive about you, from any source.

“Personal Information” includes information about you and which identifies you. This may include, but is not limited to, your address, home telephone number, age, questions and consumer preference information.

We collect consumer Personal Information through our websites, any consumer services we provide to you, our surveys and questionnaires, our contests and promotions, and any correspondence you may have with us. We do not sell or rent personal information to other organizations. From time to time we will transfer personal information between Clorox and its contractors, for the purpose of providing services to Clorox. In addition, from time to time, and only when you have consented, or as otherwise permitted or required by law, we may also collect Personal Information about you from other organizations, or share your Personal Information with other organizations. A current list of these organizations is available upon request.

We make a reasonable effort to ensure that you understand the purposes for which we collect, use or disclose your Personal Information, by telling you what those purposes are, generally at the time you provide your Personal Information. These purposes may include: providing you with consumer or warranty services, developing new products, delivering services you have requested (such as on-line magazines), or marketing and promoting products, operating contests or events, administering and improving our websites, or for internal business and legal purposes. The Personal Information we collect is used or disclosed by or for us, or by agents on our behalf, only for the purposes for which it was collected. We may also disclose your Personal Information if we are permitted or required to do so by law. Personal Information is accessible to the employees, contractors and agents of Clorox, and of agents that act on our behalf, only on a need to know basis.

Notwithstanding any other statement herein, in the event that we were to sell or dispose of all or a part of our business, the transaction could require us to transfer Personal Information used in connection with the transferred business.

In general, we rely on express consent. Except in Quebec, and in certain limited circumstances, we may rely on implied consent. Generally, you may withdraw your consent, subject to contractual restrictions, if any, by providing our Canadian Privacy Officer with reasonable notice, in writing, at the address herein.

We use reasonable efforts to keep Personal Information as accurate, complete and up-to-date as necessary, but generally rely on the consumer to update us as to any changes. We use security safeguards that are appropriate to the form and sensitivity of the information. These safeguards include, as appropriate, physical locks, technological safeguards such as passwords or encryption, and procedural safeguards that ensure that we limit access to Personal Information on a need to know basis. We are also requiring all of our service providers to ensure that they maintain adequate security measures.
